This mobility took place in Kaunas in October 2019 and provided collaborative learning about Art in our cultural heritage.
Students presented pre - mobility activities in partner schools based on Art in cultural heritage - jewelry, decorative art, national symbols, traditional motifs in our cultural heritage - tangible and intangible.

Our partner school - Kauno taikomosios dailes mokykla in Kaunas- is a different type of school which provides vocational education in Art, Graphics and Informatics.
First day their students taught us a lesson in the very basics of Lithuanian. This helped the participants to feel less ‘foreign during their visit. The European evening was full of traditional music, dances and typical lithuanian dishes and snacks from participating countries.
Before the mobility our schools enriched their curriculum with activities that broaden students' perception of cultural heritage, taught  them practical skills and through these opportunities they learned to appreciate and value images and artifacts across times and cultures, and to understand the contexts in which they were made.
During the mobility we also went on an excursion to a traditional resort Brištonas and by taking part in an orienteering game we reached the point - to taste mineral water coming from the ground. Together with students of the host school, participating students from other partner schools took part in Art lessons- collaborative learning - Ceramics workshops - jewelry workshops, photography, textile design and we participated in an educational program with the production of a traditional dish.
Sightseeing in the town of Kaunas we learnt about the historical castle and fortress - cultural heritage of the region. We also went on an all-day excursion to the capital of Lithuania Vilnius and were guided around the city- learning about the historical events of the city and the whole country. We found out about different historical monuments, galleries, museums and cathedrals.
We also visited The Trakai castle with a permanent exposition of Art.
